Privacy statement

This statement applies to northkiwilimited.com and is written to reflect our obligations under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to type into the enquiry form: your name, your email address, an optional block location, the category of your enquiry and your message. Our server also records the IP address a submission came from, which we use to identify spam.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your details with third parties for marketing.

Why we collect it

We collect it for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. If your enquiry leads to us quoting for or carrying out work, we may keep the correspondence as part of our normal business records.

Who sees it

Enquiries are delivered to a company mailbox and read by the people who run North Kiwi Limited. Your message passes through our web host's mail servers in the course of delivery. We do not pass enquiries to anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful to us, and then deleted. Records relating to work we have actually carried out are kept for as long as New Zealand tax and business record‑keeping requirements apply.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set its own cookies. Two third‑party services are loaded on some pages and may set their own: Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used in the design, and Google Maps, which supplies the embedded map on the contact page. Both are operated by Google, and their handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email info@northkiwilimited.com and we will respond as promptly as we can.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website or email system is completely secure. Please do not send bank account details, passwords or other sensitive information through the enquiry form.
